Traditionally a “Bothy” is the Scottish term for an often remote, hillside hut where the shepherds and travellers would rest, take a dram (a drink), tell stories in the firelight and recover for their next gruelling day. These were particularly common in the Scottish Highlands.
Our collection of Bothies go well beyond the facilities and comfort of the traditionally simple huts. Beautifully furnished, warm and welcoming, they are the perfect place to get away with friends or family to work, play or rest, recover and enjoy. Relax and take in the wonderful views whether they be of the Alps or the Remarkables, the city or the lake.

With Scottish origins I love the mountains and walking, biking and running in the hills.
My family moved to New Zealand in 2012 and we became citizens in 2020. I have loved exploring and getting to know our new country. New Zealand is my soul home.
I love the sea, the mountains and the fresh air and I will never tire of encouraging my children, friends and guests to get out and BREATH :0)
